From my 1st trip to Africa when I was 15 years old, in the Okavango Delta and a lion came and rubbed himself against the safari truck with the hairs of his mane touching my leg I was addicted to the African bush and the awe inspiring wildlife who inhabited it.

I went out to Africa every year after that and as soon as I finished school heading to South Africa to live and train to be a safari guide which led me into 10 incredible years from guiding in the Greater Kruger National Park in SA to working with a Maasai tribe on the foothills of Mt Kilimanjaro in Kenya and then onto the world renowned Masai Mara National Park and finally running Sir Richard Bransons Kenyan safari lodge, the beautiful and futuristic Mahali Mzuri.

Upon returning home to Jersey, Channel Islands I started working as a travel consultant which I have been doing for over 6 years, sending people all over the world, however my love is and will always be Africa.

With my work in travel and experience on the ground in some of Africa’s most beautiful parks, i decided to start Safari & Me. A chance to write about the wonders of safari, the animals and cultures of the African wilderness and help others plan their perfect safari experience.

If I could give one gift to people it would be for them to experience just some of the magic that Africa has to offer.
