Daily Itinerary
Day 1
Take a morning flight from Zanzibar Airport to Saadani National Park, the only coastal preserve in the whole of East Africa. You will be picked by your driver and transferred through the park to the beautiful Simply Saadani Camp. Arrive for a warm welcome drink and short briefing followed by a sumptuous lunch. After rest, head for a late afternoon game drive returning to the camp at dark. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2
Today, participate in the camp’s complimentary activities; take a guided nature walk just before breakfast, a canoe ride on the Mafui creek, and visit the UN SDG center to learn about sustainable development goals. Also you
can relax and lay in on the sandy beaches or swim in the warm waters of the Indian ocean.

Day 3
After breakfast, drive to Wami River for 2 hours’ boat cruise. Enjoy your packed lunch amongst the huge hippo
pods, look for crocs lining the bank and marvel at the stunning bird life. Return in the late afternoon by safari vehicle, traversing Saadani National Park from South to North, looking for elephants, lions, buffalo, leopards and much more arriving back at the camp at the last light.

Day 4
Today, transfer from Saadani to Mikumi National Park. You will pass through the town of Morogoro with beautiful views of the Uluguru Mountains to the lovely Vuma Hills Tented Camp in Mikumi National Park arriving in time for a late lunch. Evening at leisure, dinner and overnight.

Day 5
After breakfast, head for a full day game drive in Mikumi National Park with a picnic lunch. Return to the camp at the last light.

Day 6
After a leisurely breakfast, drive to UNESCO world heritage site of Selous Game Reserve, the largest reserve in Africa, reaching Sable Mountain Lodge, a beautifully positioned camp set over two hills in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight.

Day 7
You’ll be woken early for a quick cup of tea or coffee before heading out for a foot safari, exploring the diverse environment of the lodge, before returning for breakfast. In the afternoon, visit the local Maasai boma with long-term friend of Sable Mountain, Saita where you will get to meet his family and learn about medicinal plants still used today by the Maasai.

Day 8
After an early breakfast, leave for a full day game drive followed by a thrilling boat safari on Lake Tagalala. There is nothing quite like sitting with packed lunch amongst the huge hippo pods, crocs and stunning birdlife. Game drive back to the lodge arriving at dusk.

Day 9
After breakfast, transfer to Matambwe airstrip for a flight to Zanzibar. Meet your driver at ZNZ Airport and head to the lovely Maru Maru hotel located in the UNESCO World Heritage site of Stone Town. Self-explore the narrow alleyways of the historical city.

Day 10
Today after a leisurely breakfast, head out on foot with your guide for a historical tour of old city, taking in this melting pot of Indian, Arab and African culture. Wander through narrow alleyways and marvel at colorful bazaars and pass beautiful and intricately carved traditional wooden doors of local houses and mosques. Relax for the rest of the day at the hotel's rooftop swimming pool or wander freely, taking in the Zanzibar magic.

Departure day.
